Jon Hassler Theater
Submitted by David on August 23, 2009 - 2:08pmI just got back from a gig at the John Hassler Theater. I performed my other family show, What I Want to be When I Grow UP!. It was billed as a kids' show, but I performed for about 50 adults and 4 children. At first I was a bit terrified, because it really is more of a family show and I ask a bunch of questions like "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and "Who is your favorite Superhero?" It turned out to be a great show and everyone seemed to appreciate that fact that we are all "Adult Kids."
The Jon Hassler Theater is a great venue. If you ever get down to Plainview Minnesota, you should check it out.

Submitted by David on August 16, 2009 - 8:08amTransform a book into a unique flip book. This tutorial is quite involved and requires a book, printer, video (or digital animation), gorilla glue, a jig, and a bit of time. Here is a video of the result:
Walker Library Gig
Submitted by David on August 16, 2009 - 7:51am
I just finished a gig at the Walker Library in Minneapolis. The Walker Library is very cool and friendly. Most of the library is underground making it extra awesome. If you haven't seen this library, it is worth checking out.
My show was billed as the Summer Reading Finale. I did BOOKcrobatics for about 20 people. I added a new Kazoo bit to the show that featured the book How to Kazoo. Some how I managed to play the Kazoo while balancing the book on it. I also passed out paper kazoos and taught everyone to play. I was a little nervous about doing this participation segment, but I think it went over well.
Tester Guy: CubeLife 2.0 - The Uprising
Submitted by David on August 16, 2009 - 7:40amHere is the latest Ergotron Video. This was perhaps the most fun and grueling shoot yet. The workout scene took a day to tape and I think I did about a thousand knee bends and lunges. I was sore for days afterward.
